Jessica Mee, MediSpa
I am extremely proud to have built a successful brand and MediSpa, which has made a significant impact on how my clients feel. The MediSpa is one of my best achievements and what I have been working towards for many years – even though at the time I never knew it.
Here’s Jessica’s story, so far…
Pursuing her beauty career at 16 Jessica moved to Witney, Oxfordshire and attended the Oxford International College of Beauty where she spent a year studying and qualifying as a CIBTAC and CIDESCO therapist.
Jessica was chosen with one of her college friends to fly out to Oklahoma in America where she carried out her two weeks work experience, having loved every second Jessica knew she wanted to travel whilst pursuing her beauty career.
The privately owned college Jessica believes was the best starting point in her career, the professionalism and mentoring at the college enabled her to become the best therapist she could launching her into the beauty world where anything was possible.
Fully qualified at 17, Jessica then moved to Guildford in Surrey where she landed her first job as a spa therapist at the famous Grayshott Spa. She spent 2 years there gaining masses of experience, including herself in as many training courses as possible enabling her to learn on the job as well as treating high profile guests regularly.
In 2009 Jessica went on to fulfill her dream and flew to America where she worked for Steiner aboard a luxury cruise liner. In that time Jessica was based from Port Canaveral in Florida and got to visit many islands in the Bahamas and later from New Orleans visiting the Caribbean Islands and Mexico.
Working aboard cruise liners is one of the most mentally and physically draining jobs Jessica has done, having worked 9 months without one single full day off she was definitely ready for break.
Returning to England, Jessica had 2 months at home with her family where she got a counter job at The Body Shop over Christmas as a temporary staff member.
Soon after and wanting to travel more, she then moved to Gaeta in Italy where she ran the Spa at a private hotel for the summer. Throwing herself into the Italian language and lifestyle, Jessica spent two weeks in Rome at a private language school to enable her to communicate better with the locals. After her contract ended at the end of summer Jessica returned home to England once again.
2011, aged just 22 Jessica decided to set up her own salon…
From then, the business has grown in strength and in size. Having never planned to own her business or a MediSpa, Jessica is overwhelmed of what it has become. Years of drive, passion, enthusiasm and hard work has been put into everything you see and Jessica hopes the experience you have whilst with her and the team makes you feel as special as you are to her.
Because without the continuous support and loyalty of her clients, she believes she wouldn’t be where she is today.
